Hi Joe,
Thanks for re-posting your blog on being a consultant. I especially like the competency assessment table and the link to "let's get started". The CAP assessment looks like a great tool I'd like to take advantage of.
Thanks so much!

Joe,
Interesting read. Iam an RN with end user EMR experience looking to get into EMR/IT training /consulting business. I have the medical knowledge, but most jobs require you to be a network builder which I am not. How can I land an IT training job?
I thank you for your response.

Hi Joe..thanks for the valuable information your blogs, etc provide.

I'm an experienced IT trainer (with a Master in Adult Education) in various applications (many of them from the 'old' days of IT) but have no healthcare experience per se although I've taught in a hospital setting. That being said, do I have a snowball's chance in hell becoming successful in healthcare IT training without the healthcare experience? I bring training and IT experience to the table but that may not be enough. My feeling is that software applications can be learned (I've learned many!) but training and an affinity for technology cannot. Hiring managers may not share that feeling tho. Please advise and thanks!
