Joe,

I am currently enrolled into the local community college Healthcare IT Consortium in the consulting track scheduled for completion in early March 2012. I have over 24 years of military medicine experience as a healthcare manager, non-physician provider and in health IT programs like MRRS, CHCS, AHLTA and SAMS. As I believe healthcare IT this is an untapped field that will benefit populations greatly and leads me to believe this to be lucrative. My history will show on a resume that I have a great deal of experience although nothing in consulting or the implementation of systems.

My question for you is, would an internship program be beneficial, do you think that there are companies that would be interested in working with students, and what companies would you recommend?

Or, what would you recommend for a motivated person like me to hit the Health IT consulting and implementation business like a pro when I finish school?

Hi Mohammad – I have to confess, but I am not an expert on whether companies in Canada or Australia value MBAs. That said, I would look at the MBA separately. If you feel that you would enjoy and thrive from the coursework and the camaraderie, then I recommend pursuing the MBA. If you dread the efforts required to get an MBA, I would find another path to meet your goals. Best of luck to you!

I am mechanical engineer I start my first job in Dubai as inspection engineer before one year and 7 months my experiences and knowledgments reach to halt and now I can not make my decision contiue my job or quit and leave to Malaysia and study there MBA because there is risk which is may be after I finish my study I can not immigrate to Canda or Australia and if I come back to gulf countries I can not find very good job which I am look forward
taking into account at the perid of my study definitely I will stop my working and spen money from my saving.
if you were in my shoes you will take the risk or contiue do something you do not like
